Full Moon & Jupiter Cazimi oh my!

I wanted to take a few minutes & talk about the astrological movements this week .

It’s a huge turning of the wheel & this full moon in Aquarius on January 29th is just the tip of the iceberg.

On top of the full moon the nodes of the moon (also linked to our soul’s evolution in this life) just shifted signs into Aquarius as our true north and Leo as our past life or past signature.

What does this even mean?

Well, there is a message for us here that the ways we have inappropriately embodied Leo archetypes in our lives are meant to fade out.

Leo rules the expression of our ego; the desire to be seen; the creative impulse of the heart to perform the feelings we hold & our inner child.

But when it goes awry, we can become self obsessed & need approval from others to let our soul shine. We can become childish. We can need more attention.

On a collective level, which is what this shift rules, we might see a shift away from being obsessed with influencers, fame, or people who have inflated egos.

Where we are going as a collective is towards Aquarius.

Aquarius rules the communal impulse over the self-oriented “I need to be seen” impulse.

In this way, over the next year and half we are being called to step into a mode of living that allows us to see beyond ourselves and into the greater good of what humanity may need at this time. Each of us have ways to support the collective and finding the empowerment within ourselves to live in accordance with the gifts we have will serve us & others well.

We are being called to enter the dance of creating a better world vs. needing to be seen dancing our own dance.

We are also being called to break free from normative culture and capture our own unique contribution in this world. Again, not for our own sake but for the higher good.

I feel the full moon in Aquarius is also adding an exclamation point to this and asking us to rebel from the things that have kept us from being fully authentic.

And on top of this on the day of the full moon we have Jupiter in the heart of the Sun~ in what we astrologers like to call a cazimi. This is when a planet is basically very close to the Sun and the Sun highlights that planet’s energy.

This is both a lucky moment for all of us & again carries with it a torch towards inner freedom.

But Jupiter doesn’t just empower us to use whatever wisdom and luck we are being granted for ourselves.

It’s pushing us to empower others as well.

And this isn’t even everything happening this week. But it’s an important fork in the road.

It’s a time to embrace your unique identity & ask yourself : how can I serve the greater good?

It’s a time to get out of our own way of needing others to see us & instead think about : how can I create more community?

It’s a time to embrace luck, empowerment and expansion and to ask ~ who can I bring along for the ride?
